Simam: brand history

Simam began producing mattresses in 1961 , in Monza , and has participated continuously in the Salone del Mobile in Milan since 1963.

The first quilted mattresses arrived in 1971, textile beds in 1975 and the Acquarelax water mattress in 1981. In the meantime, a new factory was built in Bellusco which was doubled in size in 1972 and modernized in 2006.

In 1980 Simam produced the millionth mattress and in 1983 it proposed an entire line dedicated to children , always made with latest generation components. Subsequently, the boxed mattress was born and, in 2000, the first anti-stress mattress .

In 2003 Aldo Moreo, founder of the company, received the gold medal for industrial merit from the then minister Tremonti.

For 60 years Simam has been committed to cultivating the culture of relaxation and well-being by designing innovative and quality sleeping solutions for the home, for children and for hospitality activities . Since 1988 it has been a member and co-founder of the Consortium of Italian Quality Mattress Producers.
